KL Rahul took control in the second half of the innings. He completed his ninth ODI century from 80 balls and finished unbeaten on 129 off 87 balls. His innings included 10 fours and six sixes according to the final scorecard.

Shai Hope Leads Historic West Indies Chase

West Indies' reply was anchored by captain Shai Hope, who produced an unbeaten 162 off 143 balls. He remained at the crease until the winning run and was named Player of the Match.

Amir Jangoo also played an important supporting role with 67 off 56 balls.

West Indies eventually reached:

West Indies — 352/5 (48.2 overs)

Result: West Indies won by 5 wickets.

The victory gave West Indies their highest successful ODI run chase, surpassing their previous best of 328 against Ireland in 2019. Hope's 162* was also the highest score by a West Indies batter in a successful ODI chase, surpassing Brian Lara's 153 from 1993.

📌 India Still Win the ODI Series

Although West Indies won the third ODI, India had already secured the three-match ODI series by winning the first two matches. The third match therefore served as the series finale, with West Indies ending the ODI leg on a high.

The cricket action now moves to the five-match T20I series, scheduled to begin on October 6, 2026.
